State Party Elections Victory!

Our very own Jane Clemons was re-elected to her post as 2nd Vice-Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, this afternoon.

The biggest news of the day was the committee's overwhelming support for Ray Buckley, newly-elected Chairman of the state party, after having dedicated his life's work towards advancing Democratic politics:
"My goals for the next two years are very simple. One, hold onto every single victory from 2006; win the state for our presidential nominee; three, send (Republican U.S. Sen.) John Sununu home -- wherever the heck that is -- and four, to build a strong organization foundation and a base of new activists and leaders for the next decade and beyond."

The months of February and March were eventful for Democrats in Nashua. We had living rooms overflowing as Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards all came to the Gate City.
Edwards became the third major Democratic candidate to begin house-party campaigning in the first-in-the-nation-primary state.

Clinton hosted two in Nashua and Manchester, and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama followed the next day with one in Nashua.

Then on March 10th, Sen. Clinton headlined the New Hampshire Democratic Party's annual 100 Club dinner at the Sheraton, right here in Nashua.

Clinton treated Nashua's downtown patrons to a public appearance prior to the evening's event. She was in turn treated to some sweets inside Swan Chocolates on the corner of Main and Temple. Accompanying the Senator were two political heavyweights from Nashua: Executive Councilor Deb Pignatelli and Nick Clemons, former Executive Director of the state party.
